Imaginary Friends
Joshua Crocker (Author) · Paragon Coaliton · Paperback
"A story about friendship and learning to love yourself."
I, uh, I think I might be losing my mind. I've been spending my nights fighting in dim alleyways and basements filled with cigarette smoke. My friend, he tells me I need to focus on my health, but what does Soj know? Been searching for a new story to write about, and if I can't find one, I'll just create my own. I don't need to be happy. I wish everyone would stop asking if I was. Everything I do is for the sake of my story-every fight I lost, every tear shed, every night spent in hopeless thought. My friend Jenna tells me that's no way to live life. Maybe she's right. I wish I was more like her. The way she smiles, she finds the beauty in the hardest parts of life. I wish I spent more mornings in prayer. I wish I spent more evenings partying with friends. But here I am, covered in bruises and misguided dreams, writing poetry alone in a coffee shop.
