Jake Hughes es un autor y docente británico especializado en la enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera. Nacido en Reading, Inglaterra, pasó parte de su infancia entre el Reino Unido y Turquía, experiencia que más tarde influiría en su interés por la educación internacional y el aprendizaje de idiomas. Antes de dedicarse plenamente al ámbito ELT (English Language Teaching), estudió teatro y trabajó en proyectos educativos vinculados a las artes escénicas. Posteriormente cursó un máster en Enseñanza del Inglés y Lingüística Aplicada en King’s College London, consolidando una carrera enfocada en metodologías comunicativas y materiales para estudiantes jóvenes.

Es conocido por participar en el desarrollo de cursos de inglés como Keep it REAL! y Personal Best, publicados por Richmond. Sus materiales didácticos se caracterizan por integrar situaciones cotidianas, actividades colaborativas y recursos diseñados para fomentar el uso práctico del idioma dentro y fuera del aula. Además de escribir libros educativos, Hughes ha trabajado en distintos países como profesor y creador de contenidos pedagógicos, aportando una visión multicultural a la enseñanza del inglés contemporánea.
