How was I supposed to move on if I let him hold onto me with his pretty words?

One winter changed my life.

I just didn't know it would be the one I'd never

move on from.

It started with a few perfect weeks and turned

into something neither of us could let go of. We

lived on opposite sides of the country, but distance

never stopped us. We found ways to hold on.

Hand-written letters, summer breaks and

promises we were too young to keep.

I believed him.

I believed in us.

I believed forever was real.

Until the day everything fell apart.

The day I lost him was the day I forced myself
