Synopsis "Player 33"

I could have just left them there. I should have just left them there. The Grand Tournament is the single greatest spectacle humanity has ever produced. The entire world becomes an arena and the game is run through these mysterious, impossibly advanced Augmented Reality glasses. Four tenets separate the strong from the weak; Physical Prowess, Intellectual Aptitude, Strategic Planning, and Adaptation. Only 32 people are randomly selected to participate. Yet somehow, I got in. Sort of. The field was set. Thirty-two Players ready to give it everything they had for the ultimate prize... That is, until I entered as Player 33. With the defending champion and the Big Four to compete with, surviving the first round was going to be near impossible. But somewhere along the way, I stopped worrying about whether I could win. I started wondering why I was chosen in the first place.
