Rest the Dawn - Megan Jauregui Eccles

In the follow up to Sing the Night which was praised as “dreamy, dangerous, and utterly enchanting” (Logan Karlie, NYT bestselling author), a magical opera singer is ensnared by the viscious King and she's going to need to use her magic to break free and save those she loves.

When Selene wins the L'Opéra du Magician, she becomes the King's Mage, accepting the jeweled necklace that's a symbol of the position. She’s finally made it and knows she can restore her family’s name that was dishonored when her father went mad in the same role.

But then her memory starts to slip and she can't remember those she holds most dear. The King begins pushing her to use her magic beyond anything she’s done before… and she can’t seem to stop. Now a puppet for the King, she performs magic at his bidding.

It soon becomes clear that being the King’s Mage is a gilded cage and if she's ever going to break free, she's going to have to uncover what the King is really up to. To reveal his secrets, she must, but she’s still going to have to put on the show of a lifetime if she’s going to save the ones she loves… even those she thought were torn away from her.
