Synopsis "The Empathic Plague"

The secret is out, and the dormant is now dominant. The Aetherian Foundation has initiated a widespread, secret activation of the Fifth Genome, triggering a global wave of hyper-empathy. Overnight, millions of individuals develop the ability to feel the collective emotions of those around them, leading to a world teetering between utopian cooperation and violent, emotional chaos. As society begins to tear itself apart under the weight of this "Empathic Plague," Dr. Orion Kael and Juno Varik realize that this biological shift is also a spiritual one. They must race to help the newly activated control their overwhelming powers before the Foundation uses the global instability to seize total control. In a world where privacy of the mind no longer exists, the struggle for survival becomes a struggle for the very definition of free will.
