Synopsis "Tree Star"

Nature-loving Terra is catapulted into a time travel adventure along with her owl sidekick, Sage. When they arrive many years in the future of planet Earth, they are horrified by the devastation they find. Most trees are gone, natural resources have been used up, and landfills are bursting; life on Earth is bleak. While they are exploring the land, they meet a wood carver named Bear Paw who has created animal sculptures to help people remember the animals that used to live on Earth. Inspired by his stories, Terra devises a plan, and Bear Paw carves four life-size sculptures: a Humpback Whale, a Galapagos Tortoise, a Hawaiian Monk Seal, and an African Elephant. Together Bear Paw and Terra form a caravan of the giant sculptures to journey from town to town, teaching people the important role that trees play in Earth's survival, and planting trees to replenish the land. With the assistance and inspiration of animal sculptures, Treebots, and many innovative and resourceful youth they meet along the way, they restore the Earth. As a community, they bring hope to many towns, showing them how to plant trees, recycle, garden, keep bees, filter water, turn waste into fuel, and make clean energy. They give every new town the power to make a difference. When Terra finally returns to the present day, she is empowered to seek new adventures, and offers an invitation to anyone who would like to take a role in healing and preserving Earth.
