It's the first day of school and nothing will steal away this little girl's sunshine! Until her teacher assigns a project she is both unprepared and unfamiliar with. What will she do Far too often African American children have found themselves saddened and confused when their classmates begin to rave about their heritage. It is not uncommon for schools to have a heritage or history day for children; unfortunately, a day that should bring forth smiles and pride often results in African American children being left with stinging pain and confusion.
