Las espadas se afilan y las nubes de oscuridad presagian terror y muerte. A Carvahall, cerca de las montañas Vertebradas, también llega el miedo: dos Ra´zac han aparecido acompañados de un destacamento para capturar a Roran, el primo de Eragon. Roran tendrá que huir, pero pronto se dará cuenta de que no es posible escapar siempre.

Christopher Paolini was born in Southern California and has lived almost his entire life in Paradise Valley (Montana). A great lover of science fiction and fantasy, he was homeschooled by his parents and graduated from high school at the age of 15 through a correspondence course.

In 2003, at the age of nineteen, he published his first novel, Eragon, and quickly became a literary phenomenon. Christopher Paolini's books like The Inheritance Cycle (comprising Eragon and its three sequels) have sold nearly forty million copies worldwide. To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is his first novel for adults.

(California, 1983) Graduated from high school at 15 through a correspondence course from the American School of Chicago, Illinois and by 19 he was a recognized writer, holding the Guinness World Record as the youngest author of a bestselling series. With his parents' help, he published the first volume of Eragon at 15, until Penguin Random House bought the rights and published it massively. In 2004, it went on sale and became a success, ranking among the New York Time bestsellers. It has been translated into more than 40 languages. 20th Century Fox acquired the rights to make the film adaptation.
