Synopsis "Smiling All the Time"

Life isn't romanticized so why should literature be? Times are changing, and with it, people are too. In Smiling All The Time is the type of novel you wouldn't expect, a novel written with teenage ideals by a teenage mind. In William Alonzo's novel, a gang of boys are determined to make the best of their summer. To help create a memorable summer, Billy, carries around a small Lego mini figure, taking pictures of it on the adventures they go on, making every last moment memorable. But their plans go awry just like it would in real life, and slowly over time Billy begins to realize the struggles faced by many others in his generation and believes he's getting closer to understanding what life is really all about. Come along, and follow Billy and his friends as they travel through the backwoods of Exirant, or rediscover the past, or face perilous danger that will have you turning page after page to find out what's going to happen next. A story about love, danger, adventure, and life, what more could a reader want in a good read?
