Bill Willingham (born in December 1956 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia) is a renowned American comic book writer and artist, famous for his work on the series "Fables" (2002), a contemporary reinterpretation of classic fairy tale characters
Among his most notable works are "Fables: The Complete Saga Vol. 1" (2002) and "Fables: The Complete Saga Vol. 2" (2003), both within the fantasy genre and published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint
Throughout his career, Willingham has been nominated multiple times for the Hugo Awards in the category of Best Graphic Story, including nominations in 2009 and 2010
