Joseph Campbell
(New York, 1904 - Honolulu, 1987) was, along with Mircea Eliade, the most important mythologist of the second half of the 20th century. Professor Emeritus of Literature at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, he was a renowned writer and lecturer on mythology and comparative religions.
