Kevin Warwick
Kevin Warwick (Coventry, 1954) is a British scientist pioneering in cybernetics, artificial intelligence, and neurotechnology. Emeritus Professor at the universities of Reading and Coventry, he is known for his experiments integrating the human nervous system with electronic devices, earning him the nickname “the first cyborg in history”. In 1998, he implanted a chip in his arm that allowed him to control devices remotely, and in 2002 he connected his nervous system to the internet, managing to transmit neural signals between him and his wife

Among his most notable works are Artificial Intelligence: The Basics (2023) and March of the Machines: The Breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence (1997), where he anticipates the rise of intelligent machines and their implications for humanity. His informative and provocative approach has influenced the debate on the future of technology and the relationship between humans and machines.
