George Gordon Byron (London, 1788 - Missolonghi, 1824), known as Lord Byron, was a revolutionary and poet of the British Romanticism movement, a precursor to the figure of the cursed poet. Due to his poetic talent, his personality, his physical attractiveness, and his scandalous life, he was a celebrity of his time.
