Synopsis "Broken Promises"

Shy Analee Webster has newly graduated from Indiana University and is invited for the trip of a lifetime to visit her friend Nora in London and tour the sights of England. On the flight over, Analee meets a handsome young man, Gus, who expresses a romantic interest in her. Not used to such attention, Analee misses the underlying motives. Upon arrival in London, she is stunned to find Nora planning to be married, leaving Analee to tour alone. Frightened and confused, she is startled when Gus mysteriously reappears and offers to tour with her. Unknown to Analee, a determined British businesswoman, Elspeth Sheffield, wants Gus for herself and is determined he not go with Analee. Eventually, she tours England alone, returning to Bloomington to start her new job in the family business. Meeting another interested young man, Dak Brown, she enjoys the attention, but her heart still travels to London and a handsome Gus. How will she choose? Filled with intrigue and mysterious twists, readers will find themselves on the edge of their seats and biting their nails in anticipation. Skillfully wrought and delightfully written, Ruth Ann Willis' debut novel is certain to grab the readers and have them begging for more.
