Jerry Craft is a renowned American author and illustrator, born on January 22, 1963 in New York. He is especially known for his comic strip "Mama's Boyz" (1990-2013). In 2019, Craft published the graphic novel "New Kid", which in 2020 became the first comic to win the prestigious Newbery Medal, awarded to the most distinguished contribution to children's literature.
