Synopsis "Commander (in German)"

Die vierte Jet-Generation: Cockpit des viermotorigen LH-Langstreckenflugzeugs Airbus A 340 für 2 Piloten. Taktile Informationen gibt es nicht mehr. Die seitlichen Steuergriffe sind nicht verbunden, arbeiten unabhängig und ohne Drucksimulation. Sie werden vom Autopiloten nicht nachgeführt, ebenso wie die Gashebel. Mit diesen wird ein Regime gewählt, in dem die Triebwerke ohne Hebelbewegung automatisch geregelt werden. Die Trimmung läuft ohne Zutun des Piloten automatisch. Horizontale und vertikale Navigation sind verbessert, Wetterradar-Daten erscheinen im Navigations-Display. Optische Informationen sind auf den Bildschirmen stark verdichtet und wegen des Wegfalls fast aller Analoganzeigen teilweise langsamer zu erfassen. Da der gesamte Flug automatisch durchgeführt werden kann, kommt dem regelmä igen Training des Fliegens von Hand und Landungen nach Sicht erhöhte Bedeutung zu, um notwendige Basisfähigkeiten zu erhalten.
