Frank Caprio (1936) es un juez estadounidense muy conocido por su estilo humano y compasivo al impartir justicia. Nació en Providence, Rhode Island, en el seno de una familia de inmigrantes italianos. Estudió en Providence College y más tarde se graduó en Derecho en Suffolk University Law School, en Boston.

Desde 1985 se desempeñó como juez principal del Tribunal Municipal de Providence. Alcanzó gran notoriedad internacional gracias al programa televisivo Caught in Providence, donde sus juicios eran transmitidos y se destacaban por la empatía, el humor y la comprensión con que trataba a los acusados de infracciones menores.
