Synopsis "Das Lissabon-Urteil: Staat, Demokratie und Europäische Integration im "Verfassten Politischen Primärraum" (in German)"

Mit dem so genannten Lissabon-Urteil aus dem Jahr 2009 hat das Bundesverfassungsgericht eine Revision der Begleitgesetzgebung zum Vertrag von Lissabon, der vor allem die institutionelle Struktur der EU verbessern soll, erzwungen. Es hat sich dabei, ausgehend von einer umfassenden Interpretation des Demokratieprinzips, sehr grundsätzlich zum Fortgang der europäischen Integration sowie zur unantastbaren Verfassungsidentität der Bundesrepublik Deutschland geäu ert. Der Sammelband analysiert das Urteil sowie die darin zum Ausdruck kommenden Staats- und Demokratieverständnisse des BVerfG und präsentiert Einschätzungen des Verhältnisses der deutschen Verfassungsorgane im europäischen Integrationsprozess sowie Diskussionsbeiträge zum Fortgang der Integration der EU. Damit ist der Sammelband sowohl für Politik- und Sozialwissenschaftler als auch für Rechtswissenschaftler von Interesse.
