Synopsis "Dead Happy"

Josh Silver (nacido el 15 de septiembre de 1989) es un escritor británico reconocido por sus novelas de ficción contemporánea, distopía juvenil y thriller psicológico. Antes de dedicarse por completo a la literatura, estudió actuación en la Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) y trabajó como actor en producciones del West End y de Broadway. Posteriormente cambió de profesión para convertirse en enfermero especializado en salud mental de adolescentes, experiencia que ha influido de manera significativa en los temas que aborda en sus obras.

Silver alcanzó notoriedad con HappyHead (2023), primera novela de una serie juvenil distópica que fue nominada a importantes premios literarios, seguida por Dead Happy y TraumaLand (publicada como Erase Me en algunos mercados). En 2026 publicó Fruit Fly, su primera novela para adultos, una sátira literaria que explora la apropiación de historias personales, la identidad queer, la adicción y la búsqueda de autenticidad en la industria editorial. La obra fue destacada por la BBC entre las lecturas más esperadas del año y recibió elogios por su estilo provocador, humor negro y profundidad psicológica.
