FINLEY MOUNTAIN wird 1965 geboren. Büchern kann er anfangs nur sehr wenig abgewinnen. Schullektüre, zu der damals zum Beispiel auch Robinson Crusoe gehörte, legt er achtlos beiseite. Erst ein Jugendbuch erregt seine Aufmerksamkeit und entfesselt eine bis dahin verborgene Leidenschaft. Von nun an verschlingt er alles, was er zwischen den Fingern bekommt. Darunter alte Klassiker wie Charles Dickens, Daniel Defoe, Kurt Laßwitz, Jules Verne. Durch einen Comic kommt er zum Schreiben. Zeichnet er anfangs versuchsweise noch seine Charaktere, stellt er bald fest, dass ihm das Wort besser liegt. So entstehen erste, zaghafte Versuche. Unter Pseudonym veröffentlicht er Anfang 2000 im Internet zahlreiche Texte. Mit dem Morgenkristall legt er 2014 sein Debüt in der Fantasy-Literatur vor. Zurzeit arbeitet er am letzten Band der Ennealogie.
