Nerea de Ugarte López is a feminist psychologist, holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology. Member of the First Advisory Council on Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of Chile. Founder and activist of the feminist collective La Rebelión del Cuerpo. Co-founder and executive president at Fundación Niñas Valientes. Co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Center for Women (CIDEM) and director of its clinical area. Director of the Diploma in Interdisciplinary Women's Studies at the Academy of Psychology and Well-being. Advisor and speaker on gender issues, non-sexist communication, education, and feminist mental health in public and private organizations and institutions.

In 2017, she was recognized as one of the hundred young leaders of Chile by El Mercurio newspaper. In 2019, she was distinguished by the HayMujeres Foundation in the civil society category for her work with women in Chile. She is an Exceptional Women of Excellence award recipient by Women Economic Forum 2019. Women in Global Health Chile Award; Women Leaders in Health 2020. Fellow in the international organization for social change Ashoka. TEDx speaker. She is also the author of Ni calladitas ni perfectas (2019) and Querida Violeta (2021).
