It is also the story about a consciousness called OmB, who can be likened to the narrator of Rose's life. They are one and the same person. Throughout this novel, we become aware that it is OmB's journey we witness as a human incarnation. We gain a glimpse into the alternative ideas on various mysteries that perplex the human mind and help us come to terms with heart-breaking loss and the possibilities beyond these realms. The author intersperses reality with speculative fiction throughout, and the reader is left to ponder their own imagination and interpretations, to lead them some way to, perhaps, answer these age-old questions.
