Synopsis "dn von Horvth"

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. dn Edmund Josef von Horvth (9 December 1901, Su ak, Rijeka, then Austria Hungary (now Croatia) June 1 1938, Paris) was one of the most important German-language playwrights and authors of the twentieth century. Horvth was born in 1901 in Budapest, Hungary, an illegitimate child of the Hungarian-Slavonian diplomat, Dr. Edmund (dn) Horvth, and Maria Hermine Prehnal, who was from an Austrian-Hungarian military family. He was named after his father, but was always called dn. (dn is the Hungarian cognate of Edmund.)
