Esta obra surge con la principal finalidad de aportar una mirada personal y reflexiva en torno al gran desafío que significa educar éticamente a las personas en un contexto de sociedades democráticas. En términos más específicos, en el contexto de Educación Física (EF) en espacios pedagógicos formales, es decir, en instituciones de educación escolar.Una percepción que me ha acompañado bastante en estos últimos años, es que la educación ética no suele ser tomada con la seriedad que exige un tema tan fundamental. A su vez, me ha acompañado la convicción de que la asignatura de EF es de las más importantes para la formación ética de las personas. Y esa importancia radicaría en el potencial de su especialidad centrada en la corporalidad y no en el ámbito intelectual. Precisamente, el filósofo y teólogo danés Søren Aabye Kierkegaard nos habló sobre aquella diferencia de potencial entre la razón y el vivir mismo para educar la ética humana, de modo que en texto profundizaremos este asunto. En este libro se discutirá principalmente con referentes de la filosofía, ya que la ética es una de aquella rama del saber. Rama que suele ser conocida como la reina de todas las ciencias particulares.

This Chilean author, born in Viña del Mar on November 7, 1989, currently resides in the Metropolitan Region of Chile. He is an academic dedicated to the study of topics related to philosophy, pedagogy, politics, physical activity, and sport. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and is a Physical Education Teacher from the Universidad de Playa Ancha (UPLA, Chile), where he also earned a Master's in Science of Physical Activity and Sport. Subsequently, he completed his Doctorate in Science of Physical Activity and Sport at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, in Spain.

Currently, he is an academic at the Department of Education of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Chile and a member of the Study Core Curriculum, Knowledge, and School Experience. Among his publications are Physical Education and Ethics (2020), Love-Based Ethical Education. History, Current Situation, and New Strategies (2020), and The Emotional Turn in Education (2021), works that address the relationship between ethics, education, and physical activity from an innovative perspective.
