Synopsis "El Aliento de Dragón (in Spanish)"

Un joven guerrero, que sueña con demostrar su valia en el Torneo de los Guardianes, luchara no solo por su victoria, sino para proteger el destino de todo aquello que ama. Jun sueña con probar lo que vale como luchador en el elitista Torneo de los Guardianes, que se desarrolla cada seis años para elegir al protector del Rollo del Cielo. Ansioso por mostrar sus habilidades, Jun espera que una victoria restaure el orgullo de su padre, quien, por un terrible error, perdio su hogar, su mujer y a su otro hijo. Pero el padre de Jun le prohibe participar en el torneo. Cree que Jun no tiene futuro perfeccionando su destreza como luchador, puesto que no ha nacido marcado por el aliento del dragon, es decir, con una marca hecha de escamas de dragon y dones especiales, como su hermano gemelo. Pese a ello, Jun se cuela en el carro de Chang y su hija, Ren, artistas que van de camino a la capital donde tiene lugar el torneo. Al comenzar la competicion, Jun se da cuenta de que quiza no este luchando solo por una vida mejor, sino por el destino de su pais y por la supervivencia de todas las personas que le importan.

Fonda Lee is a Canadian-American writer born on March 10, 1979, in Calgary, Alberta. Before turning to writing, she earned an MBA from Stanford University and worked as a corporate strategist. Additionally, she is a black belt in karate and kung-fu, and has a deep passion for action movies. She currently resides in the Portland, Oregon area.

Her most notable work is The Green Bone Saga, an epic fantasy series consisting of the novels Jade City, Jade War, and Jade Legacy, along with the prequel The Jade Setter of Janloon and the story collection Jade Shards. The saga has been acclaimed for its political and cultural complexity, and Jade City was included in Time Magazine's list of the 100 best fantasy books of all time. The series has also been adapted for television.

Lee has also written young adult science fiction novels, such as Zeroboxer, the Exo duology (Exo and Cross Fire), and Breathmarked, co-written with Shannon Lee. In 2023, she published the novella Untethered Sky, which received praise for its lyrical style and exploration of deep themes.

Throughout her career, she has been awarded the World Fantasy Award, the Locus Award, and multiple Aurora Awards. Additionally, she has been a finalist for the Hugo and Nebula Awards. Her work has been recognized for its ability to blend elements of fantasy, science fiction, and action, creating worlds rich in detail and emotion.

In addition to her work as an author, Fonda Lee has taught workshops at literary programs such as Clarion West, Viable Paradise, and Aspen Words, sharing her experience and passion for writing with new generations of writers.
