En este ensayo, Byung-Chul Han relee a Heidegger en todas sus etapas como la reivindicación de un mundo cordial. El corazón, según certera aclaración de Holderlin, es el organo que permanentemente hace fluir y refluir, desencontrarse y reencontrarse en asimilaciones y emisiones, en apropiaciones y enajenaciones, esas corrientes de vida que son los flujos sanguineos canalizados por arterias y venas. Ya en terminología de Heidegger, el corazón sería una metafora de esa interseccion de cercanía y lejanía en la que temporalmente se hacen consonar las disonancias para hacerlas amables: el mundo como una confluencia habitable, pero que constantemente hay que estar construyendo, del sepultador cerramiento de la tierra y la inhóspita apertura del cielo. Si Ser y tiempo, la primera obra capital de Heidegger, se suele leer como un redescubrimiento del mundo y de la vida pensados del hombre, en este ensayo Byung-Chul Han relee al filósofo aleman en todas sus etapas como la reivindicación de un mundo cordial. En este canto a la afabilidad, Han ponea Heidegger en fecundo diálogo con la tradición filosófica alemana, la fenomenología francesa y la literatura contemporánea.

Byung-Chul Han (Seoul, South Korea, 1959) studied Philosophy at the University of Freiburg and German Literature and Theology at the University of Munich. In 1994, he earned his doctorate from the first of these universities with a thesis on Martin Heidegger. After his habilitation, he taught philosophy at the University of Basel, from 2010 he was a professor of philosophy and media theory at the Karlsruhe College of Design, and since 2012 he has been a professor of Philosophy and Cultural Studies at the Berlin University of the Arts. He is the author of more than a dozen titles, most of which have been translated into Spanish by Herder Editorial.
