Synopsis "El mar (in Spanish)"

Un poemario que nos lleva a un recorrido marino, a través de él, el lector descubrirá diversos seres que habitan las aguas del mar: los peces, la ballena, los pulpos y hasta una sirena. A la par se desarrollará la historia de dos personajes, el pescador y Raquel, quienes de principio a fin explorarán los misterios y secretos que se esconden en las aguas, al mismo tiempo que observarán las estrellas y las nubes hasta encontrarse con un tigre que no conoce el mar. Este poemario fue ganador del Premio Hispanoamericano de Poesía para Niños 2019.

Micaela Chirif (Lima, 1973) is a Peruvian writer and poet specialized in children's and young adult literature. She holds a degree in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a master's degree in Children's and Young Adult Books and Literature from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, having developed a body of work that includes poetry and picture books, as well as venturing into informational books.

Among her works are "Goodnight, Martina" (2009), "Breakfast" (2013), "You better watch out, mastodon" (2014), "Where is Tomás?" (2016) and "The Sea" (2019). These books, recognized for their literary quality, have been included in selections such as White Ravens and the IBBY Honour List. In 2019, "The Sea" received the Hispano-American Poetry Prize for Children.

Amanda Mijangos Quiles (Mexico City, 1986) is a prominent Mexican illustrator. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and the Diploma in Illustration at the San Carlos Academy of UNAM, she also studied Illustration in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Founder of the illustration studio "Cuarto Para Las 3", she has exhibited her work in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and London.

Among her most recognized works are "Parentalia. Primer libro de recuerdos (1957)", by Alfonso Reyes, and "34 Newark Street". Her work has been awarded with prizes such as the VIII Ibero-American Catalog of Illustration in 2017 and the Contemporary Illustration Award at the Gran Salón México Fair in 2015.
