Started as a countercultural movement, punk quickly became a signifier of identity for young people who saw in its "no future" ethos a place of refuge during difficult times. Lo que nació como un movimiento contracultural se convirtió muy pronto en una seña de identidad entre los más jóvenes de una generación que veían en su lema -No Future- y en el reflejo de su música la bandera en la que refugiarse ante los complejos momentos que vivían.
