Synopsis "Entwicklung eines Systems zur Verfolgung von Geodaten durch Undergraduates (in German)"

Heutzutage verfügen die meisten Bildungseinrichtungen über Management-Informationssysteme (MIS) zur Verwaltung der Attributdaten von Studenten. Keines der Systeme verfügt jedoch über einen Mechanismus zur Verwaltung räumlicher Daten, wie z. B. der Wohnorte von Studenten, die zur Entscheidungsunterstützung in jedem Bildungsinstitut verwendet werden können. Au erdem kann die räumliche Datenquelle auch für zukünftige Forschungsstudien genutzt werden. Das Buch konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung eines räumlichen Informationsverfolgungssystems, mit dem die Wohnorte von Studenten im ganzen Land verfolgt werden können, wobei die Fakultät für Landwirtschaft der Universität Ruhuna in Sri Lanka als Fallstudie dient. Die geografischen Standorte der Studenten werden durch das MIS des Instituts aktualisiert und dann auf der GIS-Plattform unter Verwendung von Web-GIS-Technologien abgebildet.
