Ethics for Engineers: Value Panopticum
Casper Krebbers (Author) · Springer Nature Switzerland · Hardcover
Model-making, in our case is first copying the earth surface and that means that we project different aspects of one curved plain on a two-dimensional surface (paper or computer screen) and that means that people face the errors of model geoid with ellipsoid and then a two-dimensional paper or screen. The errors in that case cumulate. That part of modelmaking abbreviations from reality to screen is still enigmatic. The source of all values is the Earth. We visualize it in XY two-dimensional space. Our book is devoted to Clarification and broadening understanding of that problem. The more accurate our model is, the better should be the precision of our extraction and maintaining of values.
A value-model in an abstract form we call an Ethical model. That’s why the entire subject is called also Value Panopticum, as it observes Value from various points of view: philosophical, verbal, logical, physical, mathematical and monetary aspects.
The more sophisticated model’s men use, the more progressive and successful human civilisation will be. Humans should learn to extract better the values of earth, and they have to maintain these values.
