Because of her, what they thought was going to be an ordinary year at school, turns into an adventure they'll never forget. What the duo don't know is that Baylee has a secret past, one that she is forced to face when the dark remnants start to catch up with her. But her past isn't her only concern. Although she doesn't know it at first, she is connected to the power failure. Through her secret past and a series of events too bizarre for Alex and James to even believe, the three friends find themselves facing the truth behind the power struggle, and stranger still, they figure out that they're the only ones who can keep this new power source from killing us all. Saving worlds is no easy task, and paying the cost is harder still. How do you pick between the lesser of two evils when they are the only choices you have left? How do you choose when no matter what choice you make, billions will die?
