Kindergarten children often struggle with learning the alphabet. The letters are easy enough to remember, but the variety of letter sounds can be a troublesome thing for a child to overcome. Forcing a child to study these letters can be time consuming and a challenge in itself, as most children (perhaps in a foreshadowing of their teenage and college years) will not enjoy studying word sounds when they could be playing. The perfect solution to this is an educational game, like First Letters for Fun! which provides a much more fun and enjoyable way to learn than traditional books about the alphabet. Designed as a cooperative and interactive experience, First Letters for Fun! is presented in a fun game-like format for young children to play with their parents or someone else who can read. Letters are presented as pictures of common objects, and the child is prompted to select the correct letter from a list of choices. The appropriate letter sounds are often presented in many of the choices, whether right or wrong. While the book is designed as a learning experience for the alphabet for kids, an adult is preferred to help the child work through the book. Luckily though, after a few read-throughs of the book, and with the help of picture recognition and repetitive letter sounds, a child may even be able to go through the book themselves!
