Carlos D. Lechuga, born in Havana in 1983, is a Cuban filmmaker and writer known for his work as a director and screenwriter. He trained in directing at the Higher Institute of Art in Cuba and specialized in screenwriting at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños. His work as a director includes award-winning short films like "Cuca y el pollo" and "Los bañistas".

In 2024, he published "Esta es tu casa, Fidel", a novelized memoir recounting his experience as the grandson of Carlos Lechuga Hevia, Cuba's ambassador to the UN during the 1962 Missile Crisis. This book has been noted for its personal approach and its contribution to contemporary Cuban literature.
