In diesem Buch demonstrieren wir die Steuerung eines Tankfüllstands in einem Bergbauunternehmen in der Region Conselheiro Lafaiete-MG. In diesem Fall erfolgt die Steuerung durch einen Induktionsmotor, der von einem Frequenzumrichter über eine speicherprogrammierbare Steuerung (SPS) angetrieben wird, und zur Unterstützung bei der Manipulation und Visualisierung der Variablen dieser Steuerung wurde ein SCADA-System (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) entwickelt. Die Visualisierung des Wertes erfolgt über einen Messwertgeber und eine Füllstandsanzeige (LIT), die von der speicherprogrammierbaren Steuerung (SPS) ausgelesen wird, und dieser Messwert wird dem SCADA-System zur Verfügung gestellt, wo die Werte in Echtzeit überwacht werden, was eine Anpassung des Füllstands ermöglicht.
