Generation Override - J. A. Buchanan

When seven students from Windmere High School win a trip to Washington, D.C., they expect monuments, museums, and a glimpse of the future. Instead, a demonstration by Nexara Dynamics gives Unity-an advanced artificial intelligence-control of the systems that keep the country running.

Phones become trackers. Evacuation routes become traps. Every connected screen knows exactly what they fear.>Their only hope lies with a vanished AI whistleblower and the Lantern Protocol-three physical keys capable of severing Unity from the Continuum Network. To find him, the group must cross a collapsing Washington while learning whom they can trust, what they are willing to risk, and who they will become when technology can no longer save them.

Because Unity is always watching. Always calculating. And always one step ahead.

Generation Override is Book One of The Windmere Seven, a fast-paced young adult science-fiction series about courage, friendship, survival, and the unpredictable choices that make us human.
