We are all searching for life defining answers. I'm not a gambling man, but I would bet almost anything that you have asked yourself these questions at some point in your life: What's my calling? What's my purpose? What am I gifted at? Why did God place me here on this earth.? Finding answers to these questions can be daunting. At times it can seem as if you'll never gain the clarity that you so desperately seek. Leading you to believe that its not worth seeking anymore and ultimately making you settle for a life that you don't truly want. I have experienced this first hand. As a matter of fact, I spent 21 years of my life feeling as if I would never find the answers to these questions. I began to believe the narrative that God only selected a few thousand of us to live a fulfilling life of purpose. This belief forced me into a life of average thinking and average behavior. I thought that I was predestined to live an ordinary life doing ordinary things. My day to day life consisted of work, home, eat, watch TV, ( or play video games) sleep, then repeat. I felt as if I wasn't truly living. I was amongst the walking dead. I had become everything that I didn't want to be. I was just another cog in the machine. Just another human being sucking up oxygen. What's sad about this is the fact that I knew there was more to life. I knew that I had something inside of me that needed to be unleashed. It was like a burning fire inside of me slowly dying as each day passed. Despite that burning desire inside of me to seek more out of life, I decided to suppress that feeling. I decided to ignore it because I did not believe that it was real. Years passed and my average ways had gotten me no where. It wasn't until I hit rock bottom (I talk about this in chapter 1 of my book "GET BACK UP") and got disguised with the way my life was that things started to turn around. But of course, I found ways to suppress my desire again and again. It wasn't until my son was born that it all clicked....
