Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD Business School in Lausanne. Previously, he was a professor at INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Over the past 20 years, he has supported leaders from both the public and private sectors in their transition to new positions, the transformation of their organizations, and the creation of their legacy. In 2003, he published The First 90 Days: Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders at all Levels, considered by The Economist as "the Bible of the transition process". He is the author or co-author of 11 other books and numerous articles on leadership and negotiation, published in prestigious outlets like the Harvard Business Review.
