Innovation ist nicht nur ein Schlagwort, das im wirtschaftlichen Kontext als Erfolgsfaktor gelistet wird, sondern stellt auch im pädagogischen Diskurs ein wichtiges Merkmal der Unterrichts- und Schulentwicklung dar. Mit Hilfe der Akteur-Netzwerk Theorie entfaltet die Autorin eine andere Konzeption innovativen Handelns: Im Fokus der Betrachtung stehen Übersetzungen, Programme und Anti-Programme, Transformationen und sozio-materielle Praktiken, die einer pädagogischen Innovation Form und Gestalt verleihen. Entlang dieses ANThologischen Verständnisses wird in einer umfassenden Fallstudie das Netzwerkbilden einer konkreten, innovativen Schulcommunity der berufsbildenden, mittleren und höheren Schulen in Österreich retroperspektivisch beschrieben.
