Synopsis "Ivan"

Ivan is young man who lives with his widowed mother in an industrial city. His mother works in a laundry and Ivan works in a car factory, where his father used to work. In the summer Ivan escapes the tiny flat by going for long bike rides along the river. He often stops to sit on the river bank and write poetry. He hates his work in the factory and dreams of becoming a well-known poet. His colleagues laugh at him. They think he is is just a dreamer. One day he helps a fisherman who has been taken ill on the riverbank. This leads to Ivan meeting many new people including the fisherman's daughter and the village doctor who occasionally works at the city hospital. Then his adventures begin. Who can help Ivan realise his dreams? and who will win his heart?
