Der Band geht der Frage nach, ob Johannes Paul II. der Kirche nicht schwere theologische Hypotheken aufgelastet hat, die den Grund fur diese Zerreissprobe abgeben. Damit sollen seine Verdienste nicht geschmalert werden.
