The plot revolves around a man named Jose Garcia, who is killed by his own son, also named Jose Garcia. The event is witnessed by a neighbor who bears the same name and is reminded of another murder he had seen years earlier in Italy. "Representando la discontinuidad de las calles de Barcelona, del tiempo y, sobre todo, de cada una de las existencias de sus habitantes, esta novela negra convierte lo cotidiano en algo epico. Cinco capitulos contienen cinco relatos independientes con personajes que hablan por si mismos pero comparten un mismo tono, y el barrio de Gracia sirve como una linea principal para conectarlos. La trama se centra en un hombre llamado Jose Garcia quien es matado por su propio hijo, tambien llamado Jose Garcia.
