English summary: The church is one of the oldest and most important themes of theology. It did not however become a central theme until the modern era, in the 19th century in particular, with the help of and recourse to older texts which were interpreted from a modern perspective. The volume shows how the church became a theme in each of the various theological subdisciplines. The experts in each field enter into a discussion which reveals the convergences and divergences of the various perspectives. German description: Mit der Kirche ist eines der altesten und wichtigsten Themen der Theologie gegeben. Zum zentralen Thema wurde die Kirche jedoch erst in der Neuzeit und insbesondere im 19. Jahrhundert mit Hilfe und im Ruckgriff auf altere Texte, die aus der neuzeitlichen Perspektive interpretiert wurden. Der Band zeigt, wie die Kirche jeweils zum Thema der verschiedenen theologischen Subdisziplinen wird. Die Fachvertreter kommen dabei in ein Gesprach, das Konvergenzen und Divergenzen der Fachperspektiven erkennen lasst. Dabei haben die einzelnen Beitrage das Ziel, die Fragestellungen ihrer Disziplinen so zu entfalten, dass der innertheologischen Vermittlung der jeweiligen, disziplinenspezifischen Problemstellungen angemessen Rechnung getragen wird.
