Projektarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Chemie - Anorganische Chemie, Note: 1,3, Universität zu Köln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, Chinolin-8-sulfonsäure als Liganden mit Platin, Palladium und Silber umzusetzen. Auskristallisierte Komplexe sollten mit Röntgendiffraktometrie untersucht werden, um diese vollständig zu identifizieren. Die Kristallstruktur kann so bestimmt werden und wichtige Informationen über die Anordnung der einzelnen Atome liefern. Der Ligand kann über das freie Elektronenpaar des Stickstoffs koordinieren und würde eine Koordinationsstelle im Komplex einnehmen. Allerdings wird durch die Abgabe eines Protons an der Sulfonsäuregruppe eine negative Ladung am Sauerstoffatom erzeugt, sodass über die negative Ladung ebenfalls am Zentralatom koordiniert werden kann. Somit handelt es sich um einen zweizähnigen Chelatliganden, da dieser zwei Koordinationsstellen des Zentralatoms einnimmt.
