Synopsis "La malnutrition"

Mauritania has experienced an increase in the prevalence of acute malnutrition in recent years, leading to a significant mortality and morbidity rate among children aged 6 to 59 months. Following the food and nutrition crisis that hit the country in 2012, the phenomenon of malnutrition is on the rise. As part of the emergency response (ACF) Action Against Hunger intervened to fight malnutrition in Mauritania, particularly in the Moughata of Toujounine and Dar Naim. This study was conducted to identify the obstacles to the integration of nutrition in the health system in Mauritania. The duration of this work is three months. This work contains two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part: Part I: malnutrition definition; causes; signs; symptoms; malnutrition treatment and prevention; volume of care and service etc. Part II: obstacles to the integration of nutrition in the health system; criteria for integration; blocking factors and facilitating factors; field data and possible solutions etc.
