Carlos Junco Garza (Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, 1945) is a priest of the Archdiocese of Monterrey since 1974. He earned degrees in Theology at the Gregorian University (1969) and in Biblical Sciences at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (1973) in Rome. He completed his doctorate at the Pontifical University of Mexico (1993), where he has taught from 1983 to 2007. He is currently the coordinator of the team responsible for the translation of the Bible of the Church in America (BIA), a project of CELAM and USCCB. He is one of the directors of the collection "Basic Biblical Library".
