Astrid Desbordes was born in Suresnes, France, in 1974.

She studied philosophy and dedicated herself to editing books on humanities and children's literature. At the same time, she began writing for children.

Today she divides her time between editing and writing. She is the author of the Archibald book series, illustrated by Pauline Martin and published by kókinos. Tenderness, delicacy, and humor are the hallmarks of this series, in which through the eyes of a child we get to know his emotional universe and his everyday concerns. “My Friend”, “What I Really Like”, “The Things That Matter”, “Time for Bed”, “The Little Plant”, or “My Love” are some of the titles, all with a philosophical touch, simple, intimate, full of questions and sprinkled with lots of love.
