Synopsis "Logicas de la Vida Amorosa (in Spanish)"

Este libro se compone de cinco trabajos expuestos para públicos y circunstancias diferentes. El primero, "Lógicas de la vida amorosa" (se analizan y desarrollan diversos conceptos relativos a la vida amorosa), fue presentado en el marco de las Segundas Jornadas Nacionales del Campo Freudiano, y el tercero, "Contrapunto clínico" (donde Miller analiza dos casos clínicos), dentro del Simposio organizado por la misma institución. El segundo, "Patología de la ética" (aquí Miller recorre tres casos de parejas famosas), es una conferencia dictada dentro del Segundo Encuentro Brasilero del Campo Freudiano. El cuarto trabajo, acerca de la ética en psicoanálisis, fue elaborado para los docentes de la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, y el quinto y último, para los estudiantes de dicha Facultad.

He is a French Lacanian psychoanalyst, founder of the World Association of Psychoanalysis. He began his training with Jean-Paul Sartre, whom he met at the age of 16. He then entered the École Normale Supérieure in Paris where, in 1964, he met Jacques Lacan. He attended Roland Barthes' seminars at the École pratique des hautes études. He was a disciple of Louis Althusser, along with Jacques Rancière and Ettiene Balibar. Driven by Althusser to study Lacan's complete works, he later formed a close relationship with the psychoanalyst and married his daughter Judith.
