Synopsis "Lucky Crumble Down"

Welcome to Crumble Down - a Kingdom where the jokes are ridiculous, the shadows are dark, and surviving school may be the easy part.Turnip Town has never won anything. Not the King's favour. Not a fair fight. And certainly not the King's Super-Charger - the most dangerous race in the Kingdom, better known as the Mad-Mile, Murder-Mile, Deathly-Dash and even the Suicide-Sprint on one particularly sad occasion. This year, Sentinel wants to change that. After years of secret training, he dreams of qualifying, bringing pride to poverty-stricken Turnip Town and somehow surviving long enough to enjoy it.Standing in his way are ruthless rivals, outrageous cheats and Long Legs Tony Bones - a five-time champion, the King's very own champion, who looks suspiciously like a fully grown man squeezed into children's sportswear. But while Crumble Down prepares for its greatest sporting spectacle, something much darker is happening.People are disappearing.Strange creatures move through the shadows. Familiar faces may not be what they seem. And beneath the races, jokes and chaos, something monstrous is tightening its grip on the Kingdom.Soon, winning becomes the least of Sentinel's problems.Darkly funny, genuinely frightening and packed with wild adventure, Lucky Crumble Down is an emotional roller-coaster about friendship, family, courage and refusing to give up on the people you love.A fantasy adventure for readers who like their stories funny, frightening and just a little bit unhinged.
