Jan Dobraczyński was a Polish writer, journalist, and politician, born on April 20, 1910 in Warsaw and died on March 5, 1994. He is known for his historical novels, Catholic essays, and his active participation in the public life of Poland during the 20th century. His work and life reflect a deep Catholic faith and a strong commitment to Christian values, even in difficult political contexts.

During World War II, Dobraczyński participated in the Polish resistance against the Nazi occupation. He was a member of the Armia Krajowa (Home Army) and was involved in protecting Jewish children, collaborating with activist Irena Sendler. For his humanitarian work, he was recognized as "Righteous Among the Nations" by Yad Vashem.

After the war, although a conservative Catholic, he collaborated with the Polish communist regime, which generated controversy. Politically, he was a deputy and held positions in organizations related to Catholicism and the State.

Among his most notable works are Cień ojca (The Shadow of the Father), a novel about Saint Joseph, and Listy Nikodema (Letters of Nicodemus), which combine spiritual reflection with historical narrative. His legacy remains relevant in the religious and patriotic literature of Poland.

Es de mis autores favoritos, la historia en si no es tan compleja como la sombra del padre o cartas de Nicodemo, sin embargo es muy entretenida y da una visión con contexto que puede complementar los hechos bíblicos pero teniendo el cuidado de no contradecirlos
